How does SNOWGRIP keep ice and snow from falling off the roof?
SNOWGRIP creates an abrasive roof surface that uniformly supports the snow pack and holds it in place. Snow and ice is never allowed to slide because our abrasive granules provide thousands of points of contact. As melting occurs, water flows off the roof through natural crevices between the roof surface and the under side of the snow pack. By draining the melt water that drips onto the roof surface, the weight of the snow pack is reduced. The drainage way below the supported snow pack is protected from extreme temperature fluctuation and remains free of restrictions that could promote the build up of dangerous ice on the roofs edge.
