How does SmartBike DC work?
In order to rent a bike go to the Subscription page and register. Once your application has been processed and accepted, you will receive a user card and booklet with further instructions. You have to visit the website one more time to activate your user card. Your activated user card will allow you to rent a bike from any station. After your ride, you may drop off your bike at the same or any other station with an available parking spot. Make sure that the bike is properly inserted into the docking point (the red LED light must be constantly lit).
