How does SLHS implement block scheduling?
Block scheduling is a scheduling system whereby students attend half their classes on alternating days. SLHSs block schedule consists of four 85-minute classes that repeat every other day, with eight minutes of passing time between classes: Blue Days: 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th periods Green Days: 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th periods School information is disseminated to students in 7th-period class. Lunches are staggered: Student lunch periods may fall at the beginning, middle, or end of their 5th/6th period classes. There are no homerooms.
