How does SLHS communicate with parents?
Keep in Touch (KIT): The school provides weekly bulletins, special announcements, and emergency messages by email using the FCPS-wide system known as Keep in Touch (KIT). There are two ways you can register with KIT to receive these important school updates. 1) You will automatically be registered when you send in an emergency care information form with email contact information. 2) Otherwise, you can register by visiting https://www.fcps.edu/kit/ and start receiving SLHS news updates right away (you find the emergency care form through this link as well). Note: If you are already registered with KIT and are receiving announcements from your students current school, you will still need to update your profile to add SLHS. PTSA Newsletter: Every month, a new edition of the PTSA Newsletter is available online and mailed to parents at their residence.
