How does skin cancer form?
Skin cancer forms in the epidermis (the outer layer of the skin) the three most common types of skin cancer are; basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma-the most aggressive dangerous cancer. There are many different factors which cause skin cancer, almost all are due to over exposure of UV radiation. Always have moles checked out that have recently changed shape or size and are irregular. Skin growths should always be checked out…also wounds that occur by themselves and refuse to heal. Rhianna edit Sorry! I totally missed the point of your question! Basically the DNA (molecule found in cells that encodes genetic information) becomes damaged and the body cannot repair the damage. The damaged cells begin to grow and multiply uncontrollably. When this happens in the skin, skin cancer develops…the damaged cells multiply, they form a tumour.
