How does size of earths movement affect damage by a tsunami????

I’m not sure what you mean by “size of earths movement.” A tsunami is caused by earthquakes, mass movements above or below water, volcanic eruptions and other underwater explosions, landslides, large meteoroid or asteroid impacts and testing with nuclear weapons at sea all have the potential to generate a tsunami. Mass movements, or mass wasting, is a downslope of rock caused by gravity. Types of mass wasting include creep, slides, flows, topples, and falls, each with their own characteristic features, and take place over timescales from seconds to years. Mass wasting occurs on both terrestrial and submarine slopes. If you’re referring to an under-ocean ridge collapsing then that might be the type of earth movement that could cause a tsunami. The larger the size of this movement then the tsunami power could be much greater but I’m having to make the assumption that we’re talking the same thing. I hope this helps. I have added a couple of links that might help. Good luck!!!
