How does sharing work?
When you sync your calendar, your contact list is imported to Tungle for you. You can then choose, on a person-by-person basis, which of your contacts you want to share with no matter what calendar they use. For example, if you use a Google Calendar, you can use Tungle to share with someone on an Outlook or Mac calendar. To share: • Select from your contact list • Indicate what you want to share (free/busy or full details) • Send the email invitation If you invite another Tungle user, they: • Indicate what they want to share (free/busy or full details) • Accept If you invite a non-Tungle user, they can: • Sign up for a free account and accept your request • Or ignore the email Once you are sharing with someone, you can stop sharing or edit your settings at any time. For example, if you chose to share full details, and then want to change that, you simply go to your management section and change the setting to free/busy.
Google Reader’s sharing features let you share items you’re labeling or starring with your friends. To enable sharing for one of your labels or your starred items, first click on the “Share” link above the reading window and then check the “Shared” checkbox next to a particular label. You’re then shown two different ways you can share: Tell your friends. A unique URL is created that links to latest items with your shared label. You can post this link on the web or send it to your friends. When anyone clicks on this link, they are taken to a public version of Google Reader (no login required) that shows just the items with your shared label. If you have a Gmail account, you can click the “Send email” button to automatically compose an email with this link. Put a clip on your website or blog. A clip is a compact list of the latest headlines from items with a particular label that can be put on a website or blog.
After creating an online account, you can invite others to view your Itinerary online. To send an invitation, click on the “Sharing” tab of “My Account” and fill out the form with first names, last names, and email addresses. An email is then sent to your contacts asking them to create a CHF online account. Once a friend joins the website and creates an Itinerary, you can view each others plans. You will also be able to manage your account and invite or remove additional contacts at any time.
