How does SEROVERA® work?
Remarkably and very fortunately, the aloe polymannans (AMP) are not digested by the enzymes of the digestive tract, but rather, they remain intact as long chain molecules, creating a mesh-work of protection throughout the digestive tract. The lining of the gastrointestinal tract contains cells which are called epithelium(s) or enterons, each of these tissue cells produces a very sticky substance on the surface of the cell called the glycocalyx. lt is within these glycocalyx that there exist special receptors (special binding sites) for the “long chain” aloe polysaccharides. Through a remarkable cell engulfing mechanism referred to as endocytosis, these long chain aloe polysaccharides cross from the stomach to the lymphatic system and enter the blood stream intact without digestive breakage or damage in general. Large chain aloe polysaccharides protect against the formation of serious diseases.
