A Globe and Mail article on October 4, 2001 spotlighted Dr. Marc Rogers, D&T Director, Secure e-business and his views on cyberterrorism. Marc, a former Winnipeg police officer, recently earned his Ph.D with a dissertation on the psychology of computer criminals. According to Marc, cyberterrorism or disabling critical computer-enabled systems is the new face of warfare. And companies are not immune to the threat. You could replace the phrase cyberterrorism with corporate espionage, says Marc. The vulnerabilities that terrorists exploit are the same as hackers or criminal insiders would use.
