How does search in the HTML web interface work?

0

Enter any single word in the field next to “Find” and then click the “Go” button. This will search the From, Subject, and Body fields of the objects in the current folder, including both e-mail messages and text in stored files. You may use an asterisk as a “wildcard” to represent any string of characters. For example, “can*” will find objects containing the strings “can”, “cancer”, “cancers”, “cannot”, and many others. You may use a question mark as a “wildcard” to represent any single character. For example, “f?n” will find objects containing the strings “fan”, “fen”, “fin”, and “fun”, but not the string “fawn”. Using a wildcard character, or any other punctuation character, as the first character in a search will return no objects. Entering more than one word will currently return only objects matching the first word, but we expect to upgrade this capability in the future. Placing quotation marks or other delimiters around multiple words will return no objects.
