How does scanning and emailing my incoming mail work?
You may elect for us to open your incoming mail for scanning. We will scan several pages for the standard email cost. We will then email (encrypted with PGP if required) the scanned documents to your chosen email address. When setting up the account, please advise if you want us to shred scanned documents 5 days after emailing (or sooner if you choose). If you do not want us to shred the scanned documents, we will send on by mail in your next posting. The reason we normally hold the documents for 5 days after emailing the scanned images is to ensure your email copy arrives and is legible. If you have any trouble reading the jpeg, tif or gif file, you can ask us to rescan differently or to mail on. Obviously we need the original to be able to do this. The staff do not look specifically at the scanned documents other than to see the scan is satisfactory. Staff are forbidden to discuss any personal details that relate to you or your business.
