How does room selection work for students who apply to study abroad for 2011-20121?
All students who apply to study abroad for any portion of the 2011-2012 academic year will receive a study abroad room selection number. These numbers will be 1F-1000F. If a student is approved to study abroad in the fall semester, their number will be deactivated. If a student is approved to study abroad in the spring semester, then they will participate in a separate room selection process. If a student is not approved to study abroad, their study abroad room selection number will be converted into a regular room selection number. Students who withdraw from study abroad will be given a regular room selection number, and their study abroad number will be deactivated. All students who check the box and apply to study abroad will be assigned a regular lottery number as well. If a student withdraws from studying abroad, then the student will receive a regular lottery number.
