How does Roadmarque® help with grey fleet management?
The Driver Survey in Roadmarque® contains a section about the vehicle. The information gathered there includes safety specific information (via the vehicle type and model) as well as ownership information. If the ownership is “private” – regardless of whether paid for by the employer or the employee – then the legal responsibility for the vehicle rests with the employee. However, if the vehicle is also used for work purposes, then the employer needs to ensure that the vehicle is road legal and “fit for purpose”. This includes needing to check the Tax, Insurance and MoT status of the vehicle. The driver will be asked to provide details about this as part of the Driver Survey. Optionally, the employer can choose to check the documentation directly and set up Roadmarque® to remind the driver and keep a record of those checks.
