How Does Reston Montessori School’s Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive Work?
We are asking each class to collect food for 2 Thanksgiving Baskets which consists of the following: (no perishable items, please) 2 Laundry Baskets (To be used as “the Food Basket”) 10 cans of assorted veggies 2 large cans of juice 2 boxes or bags of rice 2 boxes of Mac & Cheese 4 cans of fruit 2 boxes of mashed potatoes 2 boxes of biscuit or muffin mix 2 snacks such as pretzels, chips and nuts 2 $20 grocery store gift cards for turkeys and hams 2 cake mixes and icing Other items as desired such as canned sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy. Sign up sheets will be placed outside each classroom as well as boxes/laundry baskets to collect the food. Our students in the elementary classes have volunteered once again to assemble the baskets.
