How Does Repentance Fit In With Our Preparing For The Coming Christ Child?
This is indeed the season of preparing for things. The mad rush to the nearest mall in the early morning hours following Thanksgiving tells us that people are preparing for something. We are all busy this time of year preparing. Preparing to put up the Christmas tree…preparing to finish our Christmas shopping… preparing our Christmas cards…preparing for relatives to visit…and the list goes on. Oh what a joyous time of year this is! Preparations are being made for so many wonderful things to happen. But why are we really making all these preparations? What are we really preparing for in this Advent season? The most important reason why we are preparing in this Advent season is because the Christ Child is coming!
