How does Reclaiming Futures work?
It brings together local courts, businesses, civic groups, schools, and others to improve drug and alcohol treatment, expand and coordinate social services, and find jobs, volunteer work, and other opportunities for teens in trouble with the law. To support these efforts, Reclaiming Futures made one-time grants of $1.25 million to 10 pilot projects across the country, provides technical assistance to two dozen other communities in the southeastern United States, sponsors a national leadership program, and carries out communications and research. After five years, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will take Reclaiming Futures’ findings and create model solutions for more communities across the country.
