How does RCR make money?
When the partnership gets paid, we get paid. Most other partnerships make money from the minute they sell the horse to the members. Profit margins added to the price presented for the horse are often 25 – 100% of the actual acquisition cost. Our model is based on a much lower margin added to the purchase price of the horse and we are compensated if our management of the horse, with member input, results in the horse winning purses and potentially selling in the future or being syndicated to stud.
