How does RadioSpirits.com send audio over the Internet?
The RadioSpirits.com web site uses streaming audio technology to deliver streaming audio programs to your computer. Streaming audio describes audio that can be heard before the entire sound file is transferred to you computer. These programs “stream” to the user’s computer from a remote server. The user clicks an audio link which launches an audio player application and (ideally) the program begins playing almost immediately or after a short delay. How do I listen to an audio program? Most of our streaming audio programs are available in both Windows Media and Real Media formats. You will need either Windows Media Player or Real Player installed on your computer to hear them. After you have installed either of these programs, your browser will know to start the appropriate audio player when you click a link requesting a streaming media file of a particular format. Both Windows Media Player and Real Player are available for free download but you likely have one or both of these players
