How does R.P.S work?
R.P.S provides close to real-time backup to multiple B.O.Ss. The replication process can be in [UNSYNC], [SYNC] or [LOGGING] mode. To understand the meanings of these replication modes, it is important to understand how data gets replicated to R.P.S from B.O.S. 1. Refreshing File – When B.O.S module started up, it first replicates B.O.S program binaries and configuration files to R.P.S in its [Refreshing File] mode. No backup data under [System Home] and [User Homes] will be replicated to R.P.S by this task. 2. UNSYNC Replication – After the replication module has finished replicating all program binaries and configuration files, it will start replicating all files under the [System Home] and [User Homes] directories to R.P.S. During the execution of this task, transaction logging of B.O.S is disabled. Backup data write directly and only to the backup files. 3. SYNC Replication – Since it could take hours (or even days) to replicate all backup data from B.O.S to R.P.S, by the time all
