How does psychotherapy at Quo Vadis proceed?
Your therapist at Quo Vadis, as with most therapists, uses a form of talk-therapy. Essentially, you come to sessions with whatever is on your mind that is related to the issue(s) on which you want to work in therapy. You describe what is happening both in your interactions, or lack thereof, with others and what thoughts you have about what you’re experiencing in life. You do not need to be a talkative or extroverted person to benefit from forms of talk therapy, just willing to be open and work for change in your life. Your therapist listens not only to the content of what you describe, but also looks for latent or underlying information in your words and behavior. Your therapist will then help you to explore new ways of viewing your situation and how to improve it.
