How does PSY 301 credit work?
Each PSY 301 student is required to participate in 5 hours of experimental research, or to complete a written assignment if they choose not to participate in research, during the semester that they are enrolled in the course. There are numerous opportunities available each semester to complete this requirement. A student might take online or paper surveys or go to a psychology lab and do an experiment. If you are invited to complete a The UT Experience! survey during the semester you are enrolled in PSY 301, you can opt to receive one hour of experimental credit instead of a monetary payment for that survey. You can only choose the PSY 301 credit option once. • If I choose PSY 301 credit, can I get payment for a different survey later? Every time you complete a survey or daily monitoring questionnaire, you will be compensated. You can choose different payment methods for different surveys; however, you can only choose PSY 301 credit during the semester you are enrolled in the course. •
