How does propane gas compare to electricity in terms of cost and energy efficiency for cooking?

It’s been about 25 years now since the propane hype and the great prices and the money saved by making the change over to propane from gas. Yes, there was a huge difference in the cost and a major saving. This lasted until as many folks who were going to switch, did. Then the cost of propane began to rise. Not only is it about the same price, but it has become very inconvenient in light of the fact that many places, not in a major centres don’t carry it. So if you are living or travelling in Canada, you would be wise to plot your course and find out where the nearest fuel/propane stations are. This is even wiser if you are travelling in a motor home that runs on propane. Running out even just a couple of miles before the next station, can cost you anywhere from $300 to $500 to tow your vehicle in. I strongly advise to anyone travelling in the North and are using propane, bring along an extra 100 LB pig–full. There is an adaptor you can purchase for just under $100 here, probably less
