How does Prometheanism relate to Objectivism?
Most of what appears to be shared by both Prometheanism and Ayn Rand’s Objectivism actually originates from the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche in the 19th century, and Promethean acknowledgement of Nietzsche has been readily made, whereas Ayn Rand turned against him and diverged from Nietzschean thought. Besides that mutual source material and early inspiration for both, there are perhaps even more differences than similarities, and Prometheanism is becoming a much deeper and diverse body of thought than Ayn Rand’s admixture of “American Capitalism,” orthodoxical Aristotelianism, and moralized whim. See A Personal and Promethean Response to Objectivism (at Promethea), an article dealing with some distinctions between the two philosophies.
