How does Project RESPECT work to end prostitution in our community?
RESPECT cannot end prostitution. Prostitution is a community issue that requires a broad community response. Ending prostitution must be included in our community discussions to end all forms of violence against women. RESPECT staff serve on state (Office of Justice Assistance, Violence Against Women Act, Anti-Trafficking Committee), county (Dane County Commission on Sensitive Crimes) and city level groups to address issues faced by prostituted women.
