How does pricing work with geo-targeting?
Regardless of whether or not you use geo-targeting, ads are priced the same way. The amount you pay per click for your ad is based on your bid and the ad’s quality (the likelihood that it will be clicked). When a user enters a search request, our systems choose which ads to display and in what order based on a range of things including any geographic interest expressed in the request. If your ad qualifies to be displayed, it will be positioned and priced based on how relevant the ad is to that specific request. For best results when using geo-targeting, make sure that your ad is written to be highly relevant to your geo-targeting settings. For example, if you’re using geo-targeting to reach customer located or interested in a region, mention that region in your ad.
