HOW DOES POTABLE AQUA COMPARE WITH CHLORINE DIOXIDE PRODUCTS?
Chlorine dioxide releases oxygen, not chlorine, via an oxidative reaction. Two solutions must be premixed in separate containers to create chlorine dioxide prior to adding them to water. It is used for slime and odor control in water “storage” tanks. Chlorine dioxide is NOT currently EPA registered for emergency drinking water use. The dose is estimated by counting the number of drops placed in a container of water.
