Earth Force, Inc. was founded nationally in 1994 by the Pew Charitable Trust to address the fact that in the coming decades, the public will more frequently be called upon to understand complex environmental issues, assess risk, and evaluate proposed environmental plans. Our mission is to engage youth as active citizens who improve the environment and their communities now and into the future. How is Earth Force Unique? Earth Force programs are unique in that we help youth think like scientists and act like citizens. Through Earth Force, young people practice civic engagement skills and develop the motivation to become life-long leaders in addressing environmental and community issues.
