Vehicles that are being rented must be titled in a name separate and distinct from the dealership. The vehicle is titled and registered through the county treasurer in the name of the rental company. When the vehicle is removed from the rental inventory, the license plates are removed. The plates are then eligible, upon title and registration with the county, for attachment to another vehicle.
