How does placement testing work at SXU?
English placement is determined by a brief survey which the student completes prior to registering. Math placement is now usually determined by ACT math scores; however, students may have the opportunity to take a math placement test if they wish to be reassessed (or if they were not required to submit ACT scores when applying). Students transferring in appropriate college English and/or math coursework may be exempt from these guidelines.
