How does Pittsville Homes exterior wall system differ from other manufacturers?
A. Pittsville Homes exterior wall system is built with 2×6’s, 16″ o.c., high density R-21 fiberglass insulation in the stud cavity, 5/8″ insulation board on the inside wall with 1/2″ drywall over the insulation board. We can achieve an R-27 wall out of the system we use (a standard 2×6 wall construction is R-20). By using the insulation board, you have insulation over the studs which prevents cold spots on the wall.
