How does Phantom Hourglass use the DS mechanics like the touch screen, and microphone?
Phantom Hourglass is completely controlled with the touch screen. Players use a Navi-like fairy named Sierra that functions as a cursor, guiding Link around the world. All the attacks are handled by taps and swipes across the bottom screen. For instance, sliding the stylus in an arc in front of Link will cause him to swing his sword, while drawing a circle around him will make Link do his spinning attack. You even use the stylus to control things like the boomerang and Bombchu by drawing paths for them. The microphone will even come into play to do a few things, like call the attention of Non Playable Characters.
