How does Performance Review relate to Personal & Career Development Planning?

0

The aim of Performance Review is to focus on an employee’s performance in their current role. The aim of Personal and Career Development Planning (PCDP) is to provide an opportunity for employees to reflect on their aspirations, whether those aspirations focus on developing within the current role or moving beyond it. It is University Policy that all members of staff are given the opportunity to develop a Personal & Career Development Plan (PCDP) if they so wish. This is not a way for the University to monitor performance, but an optional tool to help employees identify their own goals and to set short, medium and long-term objectives with a view to realising those goals. If you are interested in developing a Personal & Career Development Plan, please speak to your line manager and visit our staff development webpages.
