How does painting PVC make sense and how does the paint stick to Main Deck Railing?

A. PVC its self is vulnerably to UV light. It will become brittle and yellow. UV inhibitors are added to slow this process. Main Deck Railings are made with Expanded PVC. A foaming agent is added in the production process to create microscopic air cells within the PVC. Once machined, the surface cells are opened permitting paint to penetrate and permanently bond. The fact that you can repaint in 20 years or more allows you to renew the surface to its original appearance. Oh and by the way, our PVC also has the same UV inhibitors.
