How does P3P relate to other Citigroup Privacy Policies?
Citigroup’s official and only legally binding Privacy Policy is the one we display on our Web site http://www.citiretailservices.com. P3P is a new technology privacy tool that holds real promise for giving Internet users more control over their information and Internet usage. Therefore Citigroup, like many other companies, is working to ensure that these types of tools evolve to meet customer’s needs and that our sites are upgraded to work well with these tools. In this initial stage some problems are likely to occur because of the complexity of the P3P definitions and the newness of the technology, which is currently under development by its creators, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
