How does Ovarian Cancer Canada use the funds generated from the Winners Walk of Hope?
The money raised through the Winners Walk of Hope finances Ovarian Cancer Canada’s numerous support and education programs for women with ovarian cancer, health care professionals and the general public. The Walk also supports ongoing ovarian cancer research to develop reliable early detection techniques, improved treatments and ultimately, a cure. Funds raised directly support: • Regional Education and Outreach • Listen to the Whispers, an educational program designed to teach women the signs, symptoms, prevention and risk factors of ovarian cancer. Ovarian Cancer Canada volunteers and staff across Canada are trained to host this 50-minute program free of charge in their community.
