How does our SNP/K program differ from the Babies Can Wait program?

0

Our SNP program is school based while the Babies Can’t Wait program is home/therapy based. Our program uses the educational model your child will need while attending school. Although the weekly direct services delivered by school based therapists play an important role in your child’s school program, it is the daily integration of therapeutic skills that bring about changes in your child. Upon consulting with the therapists we teachers continually incorporate a variety of the skills and assistive technology (when appropriate) into our daily classroom routines from structured play to snack/lunch to our literacy based thematic units. This differs from the program implemented by Babies Can’t Wait. Their model is based on separate services that are generally not integrated with each other but delivered in short isolated sessions at your home.
