With multimaster replication, any of the directories in the replication group may behave as the “master” directory, allowing administrators to perform operations like adding new object types or modifying entries, even when some of the other servers are down. This level of high availability is extremely important to service providers and others with 24×7 availability needs. Multimaster replication is based on proven Oracle Database advanced symmetric replication.
