How does online social networking enhance a persons effective writing skills?

0

Online social networking often hurts writing skills. I say this because people often shorten their words to say time and this isn’t a good habit.

From everything I have seen, it only harms effective writing skills and communication skills in general. Social networking encourages people to use incorrect spelling and no grammar in order to make messages short. These are both detrimental to effective writing skills. Texting is also detrimental to effective communication skills since it divorces the parties involved from the most effective clues to effective communicaton, ie; body language, intonation and facial clues.
