How does online banking know what number is showing on my GoID device?
Every GoID device is unique to its owner. The “random” number on the display screen at any given time is generated by a mathematical algorithm. From the moment you first activate your device the computer knows where you are in that algorithm at any point in time. In this way, when you login with your username, password and GoID code, the computer runs a simple check to make sure all the information matches.
