How does ones faith heal the soul?
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 Simply put, faith is hope. Colts faith gives him the hope to move on with his life, even though he has suffered grievously in the past. He is also intelligent, as in one passage he points out that it wasnt God that put him in prison, but the testimony of an evil man. Colt, unlike so many of us today, doesnt just let God out His box when he wants to make a wish or gets in a bad situation, then put God back in the box when it comes to everyday living. Yet, he is all too human. He has glaring frailties, which I present for the reader to see as well. Women do have a natural weakness for cowboys. What do you see as the attraction? There is something timeless about the cowboy. Their traditions go back further than the American West. It can even be seen in the wild adventurers and horsemen of the past; in Arabia and China, in the Conquistadors and the Huns. The link between man and horse is a strange one
