How does one withdraw from residence?
To withdraw from Residence after check-in, a student must report to Residence Services and follow the proper check-out procedures. It is important when checking out to return all keys to the Residence Front Desk, otherwise improper check-out and/or lock-change charges may apply. To terminate a contract mid-semester, one months notice must be given in addition to a per diem fee. i.e.: If notice is given on October 8, you will pay until November 30 and be credited the remainder. NOTE: This just pertains to withdrawing from Residence. Please check with your academic advisor for information on programs or withdrawing from UFV.

It is extremely important when checking out to return all keys to the residence desk, otherwise improper check-out and/or lock change charges may apply. There is usually a charge for terminating a contract mid-semester, in addition to a per diem fee for the time you have spent in residence. More information on this can be found by contacting your R.A. Please ensure that all rooms are swept and cleaned before you vacate the premises, and that any and all food items are REMOVED from your personal fridge. A fee will be assessed if the room is left in improper condition once you have vacated your room. NOTE: This just pertains to withdrawing from residence. PLEASE ADHERE TO THESE POLICIES AS THEY ENSURE THAT ALL OF OUR STUDENTS LIVE HARMONIOUSLY. WE EXPECT ALL OUR RESIDENTS TO RESPECT EACH OTHER AND TREAT EACH OTHER GRACIOUSLY.
