How Does One Remove Scuff Marks From Flat Painted Walls?
You’re not going to like this, but with the kind of paint you have you’re unlikely to be able to remove the scuff marks without leaving behind a dull spot like you’ve experienced. In some cases this is fine because the dull spot won’t be noticeable except on close inspection. But if it’s somewhere visible, you’re going to need to repaint. If it were latex paint, you could just touch up that spot and it would generally blend well enough that you couldn’t notice the difference. But with flat paint, it’s harder. If you’ve got paint that matches, you can try to dab at the scuff marks with a soft rag. If you do it very lightly, it might cover up the scuff mark and still match the surrounding area so that you won’t be able to see it. Try it at a less noticeable spot first. Let it dry.
