How does one make good decisions in his life?
Never lie to yourself. Never, never ever! Not for *any* reason! There is no reason good enough for telling yourself even the tiniest little lie. It’s not like, even with the biggest wrongs you could do, anyone is going to punish you for thinking the truth about them. Always be honest. If you lie to yourself, you can’t make consistently good decisions in life, because all the information you make decisions on is incorrect, all warped and twisted by all the lies, including even the small ones. Always be honest with yourself, inside your own head, where all your decisions are made. Think about this, too: someone who lies to themselves has no trouble at all lying to you, and anyone/everyone else. Chronic self-honesty is very hard work, sometimes even painful: so brace yourself, and don’t give up if the going gets rough. After all, making bad decisions on a regular basis is *still* worse!
