How does one go about getting emancipated?
I am an emancipated minor in oregon. I got emancipated because I had a job for a little over a year and had way over 3000 dollars saved up. In order to get emanipated you have to have a job and money saved up and a very good reason which it sounds like you have a really good reason. The only problem I see is that you are 15. The law in oregon anyway is you have to be atleast 16 with money saved up and a job. You have to prove to the court you are mature enough to live on your own and prove your plan on why you want to be emancipated intstead of just staying with your aunt and uncle. From what I heard and experienced it is not that easy to get emancipated.
