How does one get started working in crime scene cleanup?
I know it’s really tough work that not a lot of people are cut out for, but I need some more money coming in and I’d like to give it a shot. I’ve just had a hard time figuring out where to start. I’ve heard you need to get hazardous materials training, but I don’t want to do that without knowing EXACTLY what kind of training to get and where, and I can’t afford to pay for that kind of training unless I know it’s the right kind and I have a reasonably good shot at getting some work. Best case scenario would be to find a place that says, “We can’t hire you now, but go here, do this, this, and this, and you’ll be qualified to work for us and we can talk.” Working for a local or regional business instead of a national chain would be preferable, unless that national chain has a reputation for treating their employees well.
