How does one decide whether to pursue the M.S. thesis or non-thesis option degree?
ECE does not stipulate which M.S. option students should pursue. Some faculty may require the thesis M.S. of students researching under their direction. Occasionally, a student sponsored by an outside entity may be required by the sponsor to do an M.S. thesis. Students who want to document research abilities may opt to undertake the M.S. thesis option.
