Prior to applying for a MAT 10-month internship certification program, candidates must have: a degree in health or exercise related fields; a thorough understanding of anatomy; a passion for their work and the well being of others. Certification requires 176 hours of instruction and practical application. Testing Requirements-Midterm: 4 hour combined written and practical exam. Final exam: extensive 8 hour combined written and practical exam under the supervision of the MAT developer.
