How does one become a recognized fashion illustrator?
Your link doesn’t work, but I would love to critique it. I was an illustration major in college- it took me four years to learn how to answer and this isn’t a full answer. Did you/are you going to school for fashion or art? Do you live in NY or CA? You become recognized the same way every illustrator does: you work your *** off. No matter how good you are, you can’t do anything without a professional portfolio. You have to start out doing pro-bono work to build your portfolio full of work; maybe 8-12 really good pieces. Then you use your new portfolio to get jobs that pay you- magazines, posters, t-shirts etc. You build a new portfolio with these paying jobs and then you’ve got something to work with. You build a website and post up your best work. An actual website that is just as good as the work you put into it.
