How does one become a recognized fashion illustrator?
Your link doesn’t work, but I would love to critique it. I was an illustration major in college- it took me four years to learn how to answer and this isn’t a full answer. Did you/are you going to school for fashion or art? Do you live in NY or CA? You become recognized the same way every illustrator does: you work your *** off. No matter how good you are, you can’t do anything without a professional portfolio. You have to start out doing pro-bono work to build your portfolio full of work; maybe 8-12 really good pieces. Then you use your new portfolio to get jobs that pay you- magazines, posters, t-shirts etc. You build a new portfolio with these paying jobs and then you’ve got something to work with. You build a website and post up your best work. An actual website that is just as good as the work you put into it. Then you market your work to anyone who will give you a job (you’ll need the money). You work and work and work until the right person sees your illustration or meets you an
