How does nonverbal communication reflect cultural values?
Art would seem to be the major form of non verbal communication. Cultural values are very easily seen in art work. For example, Religious periods will have a huge number of religious paintings- obviously showing the value of religion in that culture. In some asian cultures, paintings and sculptures will reflect the respect that people had for their emperors and ancestors. Simple things like this are clear examples of nonverbal communication reflecting cultural values.
