How does NetVision NPM collect its information?
NetVision uses a protocol called SNMP to query intelligent network devices like routers, switches, traffic shapers, servers, etc. about the status of the network or their internal operational status. This information, by default, is polled every 60 seconds and then stored in a special database which is queried when NetVision generates its report.
